About the role
Human Technopole's Health Data Science Centre (Casale Group) in Milan is hiring an AI Scientist to build reusable AI foundations and agentic scientific systems powering research across human genetics, multimodal biology, and disease. Responsibilities include creating AI systems integrating population-scale genetics and biomedical data, developing foundation models, multimodal representation learning, and agentic workflows, building scalable research software for large heterogeneous datasets, and contributing to publications and open-source tools.
Requirements include a PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related field, at least 4 years of relevant research experience, a strong track record through publications or software, advanced Python/software engineering skills, and HPC/reproducibility experience. This is a full-time, fixed-term (4 year) contract; applications close November 11, 2026.
