About the role
The University of Houston's Department of Biology and Biochemistry is recruiting a faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) to conduct research at the interface of biology and chemistry, with a preference for candidates working on drug discovery for cancer or other major diseases. Assistant-level applicants should show strong publication potential, while Associate/Full Professor candidates should have an established, externally funded research program.
The hire will have access to laboratory facilities in the Science and Engineering Research Center and opportunities to collaborate with Texas Medical Center institutions on cancer and dementia research initiatives. Applications require a cover letter, CV, a research statement (up to 4 pages), a teaching/mentoring statement (up to 2 pages), three representative publications, and three references submitted through the UH Job Portal.
