About the role

Assistant Laboratory Technician post in the School of Food Science & Nutrition, University of Leeds. Day-to-day duties are upkeep, organisation and operation of teaching/research laboratories: cleanliness, preparing materials, equipment maintenance, and basic training for lab users. Candidates need five GCSEs or equivalent (including maths and a science subject), a good understanding of chemical hazards and safe handling/disposal, and strong organisational and communication skills, working both independently and as part of a team. Permanent, full time (5 days/week, campus-based). Not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
