About the role
Aarhus University's Department of Biological & Chemical Engineering is hiring up to 4 Assistant Professors of Materials Science & Engineering for its Materials Science & Engineering Center, working within Professor Anja-Verena Mudring's center projects. Duties include conducting high-quality international research, publishing and presenting findings, securing external funding, and teaching and supervising students. Fixed-term appointments run 4 years from January 1, 2027.
Candidates need a PhD in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent plus postdoctoral experience, with expertise in areas such as solid-state synthesis, molten salts, ionic liquids, corrosion studies, or materials characterization, and a record of first/co-authored peer-reviewed publications. Salary follows the Danish collective labour agreement (basic salary steps 4-8).
