About the role
Hermeus is hiring a Components Manufacturing Engineer in Los Angeles to own component fabrication from concept through production for critical hardware — valves, fluids components, actuators, manifolds, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The role drives design-for-manufacture, defines process parameters for laser welding, precision machining, assembly, and inspection, leads first-article builds and non-conformance corrective action, and owns planning and scheduling for the sheet metal shop. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or materials science, and 3+ years of hands-on experience in precision component manufacturing (aerospace or defense preferred), with strong GD&T and CAD/CAM skills; experience with advanced welding methods and aerospace-grade materials is a plus.
