About the role
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Director of Laboratory Operations for the lab of Dr. Georgios Skiniotis in the Department of Structural Biology, which studies how cell-surface receptors -- particularly G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) -- recognize and propagate signals. The Director will partner with Dr. Skiniotis to translate the lab's scientific goals into research strategy and day-to-day operations, including directing lab staff, recommending experimental approaches, evaluating results, troubleshooting research workflows, and implementing new technologies and instrumentation. The role also covers lab safety/regulatory compliance, budget and resource management, and procurement of research supplies.
