Recruitment Opportunities Faculty Positions and Postdoctoral Fellowships Research Areas Key research disciplines include, but are not limited to: Cancer, Tropical Pathogens and Immunobiology, Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases, Neuroscience, Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, Basic Medicine and related biomedical fields. (I) Faculty Positions Eligibility Requirements Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have completed several years of postdoctoral training or possess relevant industrial research experience. Candidates should demonstrate strong independent research capabilities, with a proven ability to address major original scientific questions at the frontiers of biomedical research and/or in key core technologies. Applicants are expected to have established a clearly defined and distinctive research direction and to have achieved notable academic accomplishments. Available Ranks 1. Senior Principal Investigator (Senior PI) Candidates should focus on cutting-edge scientific questions and/or core enabling technologies, have established an internationally competitive and distinctive research program, and demonstrate outstanding academic achievements. Upon appointment, Senior PIs will be provided with: Independent laboratory space; Quotas for master’s and doctoral student supervision; Dedicated funding for research assistants and technical staff. 2. Junior Principal Investigator (Junior PI) Candidates should focus on original scientific questions and/or key technologies, with academic achievements comparable to outstanding postdoctoral fellows at world-class universities or leading research institutions. Compensation An internationally competitive compensation package is offered: Senior PI: RMB 1.0–1.5 million per annum (pre-tax; individual income tax capped at 15%) Junior PI: RMB 0.5–0.8 million per annum (pre-tax; individual income tax capped at 15%) Research Start-up Funding Senior PI: RMB 6–8 million Junior PI: RMB 1 million Institutional Support All faculty members will have full access to the advanced research infrastructure of the MOE Key Laboratory of Tropical Translational Medicine, including but not limited to high-throughput sequencing platforms, confocal microscopy systems, flow cytometry facilities, and other state-of-the-art shared core platforms. Customized and dedicated laboratory space will be provided based on research needs. Applicants are expected to exhibit robust experimental skills, strong research dedication, and proficiency in core laboratory techniques relevant to their field. Postdoctoral fellows must commit full-time to the position; part-time employment during the appointment period is not permitted. Preference will be given to candidates who: Have published in peer-reviewed international journals Possess interdisciplinary research experience Have a background in tropical medicine or related fields Compensation and Benefits Annual Salary: The annual base salary is 0.3 million RMB (pre-tax), and additional research incentives may be granted according to the university’s relevant policies on scientific research achievements. Housing/Rental Subsidy: Eligible full-time postdoctoral fellows may apply for a monthly housing subsidy (current standard: RMB 3,000/month, up to 36 months), subject to policies of Hainan Province and the host institution Research Support: Full access to all advanced instruments and shared research platforms within the MOE Key Laboratory Career Development Outstanding full-time postdoctoral fellows will be given priority consideration for transition to Junior PI or other faculty positions through an expedited evaluation process upon successful completion of their postdoctoral appointment.
