GSK is building a new RNA Biology function within its Genetic Medicines Discovery group and is hiring a Head of RNA Biology to define and own the strategy for understanding the RNA regulome and its role in disease. The role leads mechanistic structure-function studies of therapeutic RNAs, maps RNA-binding protein interactions and non-coding RNA disease biology, partners with chemistry/DMPK/CMC teams to translate findings into drug candidates, and builds an RNA Center of Excellence, including external academic collaborations in San Diego. Requires a PhD in RNA Biology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology or a related discipline plus 5-10 years of RNA biology experience.
