About the role
Vertex is hiring an Immunology Senior Research Scientist - Flow Cytometry for its Molecular Profiling team, based in Seattle, WA. The role provides technical expertise in flow cytometry and cellular profiling to support drug discovery and development, including designing and optimizing flow cytometry assays, leading multicolor immunophenotyping panel design, integrating cellular data with transcriptomic/proteomic profiling, and mentoring junior team members. Requires a PhD in Immunology/Cell Biology or a related field with 2+ years of experience (or a Master's with 6+ years, or a Bachelor's with 8+ years), deep expertise in flow cytometry assay development, and proficiency with FlowJo, Dotmatics or equivalent software. Experience with primary human samples, spectral flow cytometry platforms, and single-cell genomics/proteomics integration is preferred. On-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.
