About the role
Prof. Ramon Grima's group at Stony Brook University is hiring two postdoctoral research associates working at the interface of applied mathematics, statistical inference, machine learning, and quantitative/systems biology, developing methods connecting transcriptomic data to models of stochastic gene expression and gene regulation.
Requires a PhD in applied mathematics, physics, computational biology, or a related quantitative field; expertise in stochastic processes, dynamical systems, or machine learning; and proficiency in scientific computing. Familiarity with chemical master equations, transcriptomic data analysis, or deep learning applied to biology is preferred.
