The University of Oxford's Sir William Dunn School of Pathology (Professor Christoph Tang's group) is hiring a postdoctoral researcher in molecular microbiology to study how human-specific bacteria such as Neisseria and Shigella colonise body niches, evade the immune system, and cause disease, supporting vaccine-development work. Requires a PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in molecular microbiology or biochemistry, hands-on molecular bacteriology and plasmid biology experience, and bioinformatics skills, particularly with gonococcus. Fixed-term, two-year appointment.
