About the role
Swift Solar is developing perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells, stacking a perovskite layer on a heterojunction silicon cell for higher efficiency than traditional silicon alone. The company is hiring a Process Technician to run thin-film deposition and characterization systems for solar cell R&D experiments, maintain detailed records, perform equipment maintenance and lab upkeep, and collaborate with R&D scientists. The role is full-time and on-site in San Carlos, CA, on rotating day/swing/night shifts.
Requirements include 2+ years of hands-on technician experience in a technical field with lab environment exposure, strong attention to detail and sample-handling care, and independent time management. Preferred: experience with vacuum systems, materials characterization, thin-film deposition, and data analysis tools (Python, R, Igor, Origin, JMP).
