Research Assistant - REACH Project

Swansea University's Faculty of Science and Engineering is recruiting a Research Assistant for the REACH-PSM project ("Resilient Renewable Energy Access Through Community-Driven Holistic Development in Perovskite Solar Module Manufacturing"), supporting development and local production of affordable, sustainable perovskite solar modules in Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, and South Africa. The role involves carrying out experimental research on planar and carbon-based perovskite solar cells with a focus on green solvents, optimizing fabrication conditions and lab-scale protocols with future scale-up in mind, analyzing how fabrication parameters affect performance, stability, and reproducibility, and supporting knowledge-exchange activities with UK and African partners. The role is based at Swansea's Bay Campus, fixed-term, paying £34,610 to £38,784 per annum, with an application deadline of 18 October 2026.
