About the role

Altos Labs is hiring into a discovery team investigating the role of metabolism in aging and cellular rejuvenation. The Research Specialist/Scientist will independently plan, execute, and interpret experiments spanning primary cell culture to in vivo rodent systems, using techniques including real-time cellular energetics measurements, multi-omics sample generation, metabolic imaging, and whole-animal phenotyping. Key responsibilities include designing and executing in vivo rodent metabolic studies (dosing, glucose/insulin tolerance tests, CLAMS metabolic monitoring, tissue collection) and performing immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry and imaging (confocal, high-content) on cultured cells and metabolic tissues such as liver, adipose, and muscle.
