About the role
Lund University's Department of Biomedical Engineering (Biomechanics Group) is hiring a researcher for a 12-month fixed-term position on an ERC-funded project studying tendon repair mechanisms. The role involves designing, planning, and performing numerical studies, developing and validating adaptive mechanoregulatory models using finite element methods, collaborating with team members and external partners, supervising undergraduate (and potentially doctoral) students, and supporting external funding applications.
A PhD in biomedical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, or a related field is required, along with fluent English and a demonstrated record of independent research and publication. Experience with constitutive modeling, finite element methods, deriving computational geometries from 3D clinical imaging, musculoskeletal tissue biomechanics, or mechanobiological modeling is preferred.
