About the role
Septerna is a South San Francisco biotechnology company developing GPCR-targeted small-molecule drugs using its Native Complex Platform, which recapitulates GPCRs in their native structure and function outside the cellular context. This is a full-time, 12-month contract role developing quantitative in vitro protein-protein interaction assays against purified GPCR proteins, membrane preparations, and whole cells overexpressing GPCRs.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cellular or biochemical assay platforms such as NanoBRET, NanoBiT, BRET, TR-FRET/HTRF, fluorescence polarization, or AlphaLISA/AlphaScreen, and will work within drug discovery project teams to develop and prosecute novel plate-based displacement binding assays.
