About the role
Calico Life Sciences' Cellular Models and Assay Technologies (CMAT) and Microscopy groups are hiring a Scientist/Senior Scientist to push the boundaries of microscopy and spatial biology in an aging-research setting. Working with biology subject-matter experts, the scientist will invent, adapt, and apply advanced microscopy techniques to uncover mechanisms underlying aging and age-related disease, with a primary focus on integrating Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM) with proximity biotinylation to map molecular environments within cells and tissues. The hands-on role requires deep expertise in microscopy, image analysis, and cell/tissue biology, combining these techniques with fluorescent biosensors and morphological profiling to identify and isolate specific cellular states for deeper phenotyping.
