About the role
Natera is hiring a Senior Manager to lead the DevOps team within its Data Science Production Engineering (DSPE) group, which builds and operates the data platforms and cloud infrastructure behind Natera's genomics testing and diagnostics products, working with datasets up to petabyte scale. The role blends technical and people leadership: architecting infrastructure, contributing to development and deployment work, and coaching a DevOps team, while also documenting procedures and building verification/validation protocols to meet CLIA/FDA regulatory requirements.
Candidates need a bachelor's degree plus 8-10 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in a regulated healthcare environment (CLIA/FDA) and 3+ years managing DevOps or software teams. Required technical skills include Python, AWS, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Linux administration, Git, and working experience with genomics data formats such as FASTQ, BAM, and VCF files. The role is based in San Carlos, CA. Salary range: $179,900 - $224,850.
