About the role
Profluent Bio, a frontier AI lab for biology building foundation models for proteins and other molecules, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Data Platform team. The role architects and maintains data infrastructure for protein engineering campaigns: secure ingestion pipelines, data warehouses, and data models for experimental results, computational outputs, and partner datasets, working closely with ML, bioinformatics, and program teams. Requires 5+ years in software/data engineering, strong Python, cloud platform experience (GCP preferred), production-scale systems (BigQuery, PostgreSQL), and experience with data security/access controls for sensitive datasets. Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite in Emeryville, CA.
