The Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY, invites applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. Mount Sinai is ranked as one of the nation’s top biomedical institutions in research, patient care, and education, and was recognized as one of the most innovative data science organizations in the world by Fast Company. Mount Sinai has made major recent investments to attract world-class expertise and build cutting-edge resources to fuel advanced research in biomedical data science and advanced technology development. Faculty recruits will be appointed in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences, which consistently ranks amongst the highest in the country for NIH funding in genetics research. We are seeking exceptional candidates with medically relevant research interests in Functional Genomics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Artificial Intelligence. Biomedical research is increasingly interdisciplinary. We seek faculty members who will thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, working across multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, technology innovators, and clinical specialists. These teams leverage large-scale data and advanced multimodal -omics technologies to deepen understanding of disease mechanisms and interventions, and to predict, test, and translate novel therapies more quickly and effectively. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or M.D. in a related field and have a track record of innovation in a biomedical specialty.
