About the role
Natera is hiring a Senior Director of Development to lead its Early Cancer Detection (ECD) and Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) product portfolio in San Carlos, CA (remote USA option available). The role owns product development strategy and execution for NGS and cfDNA-based in vitro diagnostic products, guiding them from feasibility through FDA Premarket Approval and post-market support.
The director will lead a team of scientists and managers through design-controlled IVD development, establish analytical validation strategies, direct regulatory pathways for PMA submissions, allocate resources across concurrent programs, partner cross-functionally with clinical and biostatistics teams, and represent the development function to executive leadership and the FDA.
Requires an advanced degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a life sciences field, 7+ years in IVD development under design controls, and 7+ years directing scientific organizations including 5+ years managing senior managers.
