About the role

Dr. Guo-Cheng Yuan's lab in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow in Spatial Biology to develop quantitative, flexible, and scalable machine learning and AI tools that integrate spatial multi-omics data to investigate cancer and neurodegenerative disease mechanisms. The fellow will build computational tools combining spatial multi-omics with mechanistic models across molecular, cellular, and tissue scales and collaborate on understanding disease mechanisms. A PhD in a quantitative field is required, along with strong analytical, machine learning, and programming abilities, prior genomic data analysis experience, and a first-author publication record. Spatial biology knowledge is preferred but not required; experimentally trained candidates with strong statistical and programming skills are also welcome. Apply by emailing a cover letter, CV, and two references to guo-cheng.yuan@mssm.edu. The closing date is December 11, 2026.
