About the role
Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Basic Medical Sciences, is recruiting a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor. The successful candidate must establish and maintain an extramurally-funded research program in an area such as cancer biology, musculoskeletal biology, or neuroscience, and will take part in graduate student training and teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional veterinary levels.
A PhD in biology or a related field is required, with demonstrated excellence in research; candidates who also hold a DVM, VMD, or MD are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants submit a letter of intent, CV, 2-3 page research goals statement, 1-2 page teaching/mentoring philosophy, and three references through Purdue's careers portal. Review begins November 2, 2026 and continues until filled.
