About the role
Queen's University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is recruiting two tenure-track/tenured faculty (Assistant or Associate Professor) in supercomputing and high-performance computing — one funded via a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair, the other via a $30M gift from Bruce Mitchell. The roles involve leading research on computing systems for modeling, simulation, digital twins and AI infrastructure (system design, filesystems, middleware, networking), plus teaching and mentorship.
Requires a PhD, deep technical knowledge of supercomputing systems (SLURM, MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, etc.), and eligibility for Canadian professional engineering licensure. Position begins September 2027.
