About the role
The University of Oxford's Mathematical Institute (Wolfson Centre for Mathematical Biology) is hiring two three-year Postdoctoral Research Associates in Mathematical Modelling of Chronic Hepatitis B, as part of the GSK-Imperial-Oxford Modelling-Informed Medicine Centre. One position focuses on analysis of spatial omics, histological and imaging data, and development of spatially resolved models; the other develops whole-body quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) models linking intrahepatic processes to peripheral biomarkers. Both roles involve independent and collaborative research with Oxford teams and GSK collaborators, mentoring doctoral students, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and up to three hours of teaching weekly during term.
Candidates need expertise in mathematical modeling, computational biology, scientific computing, machine learning, immunology, or systems pharmacology, with strong modeling and computational skills considered essential.
