Post-doctoral Research Fellow - AR3048

The School of Computer Science at the University of St Andrews is recruiting a Post-doctoral Research Fellow (AR3048) on an 18-month fixed-term contract, starting 5 January 2027 or soon thereafter, as part of the EPSRC-funded National Edge AI Hub, a £12M initiative spanning 15 universities and 75+ industry partners. The role involves researching systems challenges for machine learning in resource-limited environments (edge computing, mobile, IoT), producing software and publications, collaborating with Hub universities and industry partners, supervising research students as needed, and helping develop research proposals. Candidates should hold (or be completing) a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, with expertise in machine learning systems and algorithms for cloud-edge, mobile, or IoT applications.
