About the role
Monash University is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Level A, full-time) in Chemical and Biological Engineering at its Clayton campus, investigating the growth, physical properties, thin films, and optoelectronic device development of 2D metal halide perovskites. The role applies advanced techniques including photoluminescence, Raman spectroscopy, and transient absorption spectroscopy, and operates/develops high-throughput fabrication platforms using advanced data processing, programming, and machine learning, alongside publishing, presenting, and light teaching duties.
Candidates need a PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with hands-on research experience in metal halide perovskites, crystal growth, thin-film fabrication, or optoelectronic devices, and deep knowledge of photophysical characterization techniques. High-throughput experimentation, laboratory automation, programming, robotics, machine learning, or autonomous experimental design experience is desirable. Applications close October 13, 2026.
