About the role

Pfizer is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Groton, CT to advance the discovery, mechanistic qualification, and clinical translation of endogenous biomarkers of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzyme activity, used to predict clinical drug-drug interactions. The fellow will lead experimental and analytical research integrating clinical biomarker analysis, multiplex LC-MS/MS bioanalysis, mechanistic ADME studies, pharmacokinetic data analysis, and physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling, evaluating candidate biomarkers across clinical datasets to explain variability and build quantitative relationships to CYP substrate pharmacokinetics. Requires a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline, hands-on research experience in bioanalysis, in vitro drug metabolism, or transporter research, and a record of peer-reviewed publications or comparable scientific productivity.
