The University of Bristol is recruiting a collaborative team -- three senior postdoctoral research associates and one specialist research technician -- for a seven-year Wellcome Trust-funded neuroscience project studying learning mechanisms in uncertain environments. The team will use electrophysiology, optogenetics, and 2-photon imaging alongside behavioral studies to examine neuromodulator function within hippocampal circuits, in collaboration with Northwestern University and Imperial College London. Postdoctoral candidates need a PhD (or near completion) with technical expertise varying by role, from patch-clamp recording to in vivo neuronal recording; positions begin January 2027.
