About the role

This postdoctoral scholarship, based at BioClinicum on Karolinska Institutet's Solna Campus in Stockholm, Sweden, is in the Li Research Group. The project investigates how stem and progenitor cells respond to the injured spinal cord environment, aiming to improve their survival, differentiation and regenerative capacity, combining experimental spinal cord injury models with stem cell transplantation, genetic perturbation, and multi-omics molecular profiling. The position is a tax-free postdoctoral scholarship paid semi-annually, initially for one year with the possibility of extension to a maximum of two years. Candidates need hands-on experience with spinal cord injury models and stem/progenitor cell culture; CRISPR experience, organoid models, and animal science certification are advantageous. Applicants must hold or be completing a doctorate and relocate to Sweden.
