About the role
Bristol Myers Squibb is hiring a Principal Scientist for its Discovery BioSciences Genomics group within the Oncology Thematic Research Center in Cambridge, MA. This is a heavily wet-lab role applying multi-omics approaches (genomics, functional genomics, next-generation sequencing, spatial transcriptomics) including single-cell RNA-seq, NGS workflows, and CRISPR functional screening to support oncology target identification, validation, mechanism-of-action, and translational biomarker research, working with minimal supervision in a cross-functional drug discovery environment.
The role sits within BMS's fully integrated drug discovery-through-translational organization, partnering with Translational Medicine, Informatics and Predictive Sciences, and Early Clinical Development to generate biomarker and patient-enrichment hypotheses supporting early clinical trial decision-making.
