About the role
BRIC (Biotech Research and Innovation Centre), University of Copenhagen, is recruiting an Associate Professor or Professor to lead an independent research group on the molecular mechanisms of diabetes. The position is split 50/50 between the university and the Bartholin Institute at Rigshospitalet, with the initial Associate Professor appointment made for 6 years (37 hours/week).
The role involves building and leading a funded research program in translational diabetes research, publishing in the field, securing extramural funding, teaching, and contributing to academic evaluation and public outreach. Candidates should hold a PhD with postdoctoral training, a strong publication record for their career stage, a track record of research funding, and leadership/teaching experience, ideally bridging basic and clinical perspectives.
