A 12-month (extendable to 24) post in Loughborough's Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, digitally validating engineered porous structures and foams. The researcher will run in-silico simulation, validation and verification across mechanical performance, fluid mechanics and chemical reactions, working with 3D volumetric reconstructions and engineering simulation software to accelerate innovation cycles. Requires finite element analysis (including fatigue), computational fluid dynamics, and COMSOL Multiphysics or equivalent.
