Apply on employer site →Posted September 2, 2026

About the role

As a computational biologist on Recursion's early discovery team, this role integrates phenomics, transcriptomics, genomics, and proteomics data to nominate novel oncology targets, validate disease biology, and shape precision oncology strategies that advance therapeutic targets into full drug discovery programs. The scientist will pilot new target discovery and validation methods, define internal criteria for target data packages, and partner closely with biologists, chemists, data scientists, and translational experts. Recursion is hiring for two roles on a new target ID team; this position focuses on precision oncology (a parallel role covers immunology/inflammatory disease). Candidates should have 3+ years of biotech or pharma experience in early drug discovery, along with strong technical communication and stakeholder management skills.
