About the role
Recursion is hiring an Executive Director of Chemical Biology/Drug Design (remote US, or Salt Lake City, UT) to develop and lead chemical biology efforts bridging multiomic discovery with target identification, including chemical probe design, as the company expands into modalities beyond small molecules such as targeted protein degradation and molecular glues. This is a senior scientific leadership role setting chemical biology strategy, managing a team of designers, and driving programs from multiomic discovery through target ID.
The role leads multidisciplinary project teams, partnering with biology, the multiomics platform, computational biologists, and data scientists to translate target and ligand insights into developable chemical matter, drawing on Recursion's AI/ML-driven design platform and managing internal and external (CRO) teams.
