Texas A&M University College of Dentistry is recruiting a tenured Professor to also serve as Associate Dean for Research, reporting directly to the Dean. The administrative portion of the role (the majority of time) involves advising college leadership on research priorities, infrastructure and investment, and participating in executive decision-making; the faculty portion includes research, pre-doctoral and graduate teaching, and support for the college's dental specialty programs.
The College maintains more than ten NIH-funded (R01 or equivalent) principal investigators, with research strengths in mineralized tissue biology, neuroscience and pain, bioengineering, and temporomandibular disorders. Start date is June 1, 2027; department placement depends on the successful candidate's background.
