VinUniversity Assistant Professorships (VAP)

VinUniversity's Assistant Professorships (VAP) is an early-career faculty award spanning Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Health Sciences, and Electrical/Electronic Engineering across VinUni's four colleges in Hanoi. Awardees build independent and collaborative research programs, with the university prioritizing work in artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science, environmental intelligence, health sciences innovation, policy development, and sustainable societies. Candidates need a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree earned in 2020 or later, a strong record of high-impact publications or research recognition, and the ability to lead research of international significance; full-time faculty commitment is required, and clinician-scientists in translational or clinical research are encouraged to apply. The award includes a sizable start-up research grant, fully funded PhD scholarships for the awardee's students, and dedicated lab/office space with advanced research infrastructure.
