About the role

Penn State University College of Medicine's Department of Cell and Biological Systems (Hershey, PA) is recruiting an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to direct an independent, nationally recognized research program in biomedical science. Departmental research spans inflammation and innate immunity, virology, cellular signaling and metabolism, membrane protein structure/function, cytoskeletal biology, mitochondrial dynamics, microvascular regulation, diabetes, neurodegeneration, and cancer biology. Candidates need a PhD and/or MD, a strong record of research accomplishments and external funding, and experience training students and postdoctoral fellows. Faculty have access to the department's Cryo-EM Center, including a Titan Krios microscope. Teaching in the graduate and medical curricula is expected; applications close November 2, 2026.
