About the role
NYU Langone Health's Department of Microbiology is hiring a tenure-track Assistant Professor for its new Center for Pathogen Immunology. The appointee will help shape the Center's scientific direction and establish an independent research program on immune responses to pathogens, with interest in tissue immunity and disease tolerance, myeloid cell biology, neuroimmunology, and host responses to infection, aimed at developing host-directed therapies. The role comes with a generous startup package and access to germ-free and ABSL3 labs, an insectary, and core facilities for genomics, proteomics, flow cytometry, and imaging.
Requires a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree with a demonstrated record of scientific achievement. Salary is $150,000 - $180,000 annually.
