About the role
The Skok Laboratory at NYU Grossman School of Medicine (Perlmutter Cancer Center) is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to study how chromosome architecture regulates transcription, focusing on how CTCF and the SMC complexes cohesin and condensin II organize chromatin and control gene expression. The work uses molecular and cell biology, genomic, and single-molecule approaches alongside acute protein degradation techniques.
Candidates need a PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, genomics, or a related field, a strong publication record, and expertise in nuclear organization and chromatin biology. Experience with ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, chromosome conformation assays, and computational skills (Python, R, Snakemake/Nextflow) is preferred. The position is based in New York City.
