About the role
Moderna's Biometrics organization is recruiting a full-time Co-Op in Clinical Biomarker Biostatistics, based in Cambridge, MA from January 18 to June 25, 2027, to help develop and apply fit-for-purpose statistical and causal-inference methods evaluating biomarkers as correlates of protection (CoP) and surrogate endpoints for mRNA vaccines and therapeutics. The co-op will explore causal frameworks (mediation analysis, controlled efficacy, principal stratification), design and run simulation studies, and apply statistical methods to clinical trial and biomarker data alongside experienced statisticians.
Requires current enrollment in a PhD program in Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, with graduate-level training in regression, survival analysis, and causal inference, and proficiency in R, SAS, or Python.
