Roche's Immunology department within pRED's Cardiovascular, Metabolism, Immunology, Infectious Diseases (CMI2) organization in Basel is hiring an experienced Discovery Scientist to focus on discovery and early development of treatments for inflammatory diseases such as IBD and COPD. The scientist will act as a core scientific leader of an international, multidisciplinary group, defining and executing the scientific strategy for novel target identification and validation in inflammatory disease.
Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams to drive pipeline programs from early discovery through IND-enabling stages, directing and interpreting complex preclinical studies alongside lab-based associates and postdoctoral scientists, and representing the program externally. Candidates need a strong academic background in inflammation research, a track record in drug discovery from target discovery through Phase 1, and proven team leadership.
