About the role
Roche's Institute of Human Biology (IHB) in Basel is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the ML for Biosystems Engineering group led by Jonas Fleck, developing machine learning methods for organoid phenotyping and high-throughput screening. The postdoc will lead a research project building computational methods for organoid engineering and drug discovery, working with rich, high-content, multi-modal datasets from large-scale perturbation experiments in complex human model systems, in close collaboration with experimental scientists at IHB. Possible research directions include causal inference and mechanism discovery from perturbation experiments, predictive modeling for high-throughput screening, and computational methods for quantitative organoid phenotyping.
The position is based in Basel, Switzerland, with an earliest start date of January 2027.
