About the role

Roche's Nucleic-Acid-Based Medicines team (Therapeutic Modalities, pRED) in Basel is hiring a Lab Associate focused on molecular biology and RNA biology to support screening of oligonucleotide-based therapeutics and development of RNA technologies. Responsibilities include developing cell-based screening assays, implementing lab automation for high-throughput oligonucleotide screening, purifying and handling RNA samples, running digital PCR and qPCR assays, and processing animal-study tissue samples for downstream molecular analyses, including transcriptome profiling (e.g., DRUG-seq, BRB-seq, RNA-seq). Candidates need a B.Sc in molecular biology or a related field with at least 10 years of drug-discovery experience (or an M.Sc with 5+ years), including hands-on experience with therapeutic oligonucleotides and in vitro characterization.
