Dr. Jonathan Yen's laboratory, part of the Therapeutic Genome Engineering (TGEn) group at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, is hiring an Associate Scientist or Scientist to advance genome editing strategies for sickle cell disease toward clinical trials, including pre-clinical genome editing for hemoglobinopathies and other hematologic diseases, with emphasis on lipid nanoparticle delivery and hematopoietic stem cell therapies.
Associate Scientist requires 7+ years research experience (5+ with Master's, 2+ with PhD); Scientist requires 8+ years post-degree (6+ with Master's, 3+ with PhD), with expertise in flow cytometry, molecular techniques (RT-PCR, ddPCR, NGS), and cellular characterization. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, with relocation assistance available.
