About the role

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow for Dr. Alyssa Kennedy's lab, studying clonal evolution and leukemic transformation in inherited bone-marrow-failure syndromes, particularly Shwachman-Diamond syndrome — distinguishing compensatory from pre-malignant clones and exploring therapeutic genome editing, using patient samples, iPSC models, CRISPR/base-editing screens and single-cell genomics with clinical-program access. Requires a PhD, MD or MD/PhD in hematology, cancer biology, genetics, genome engineering, immunology or a related field, at least one first-author publication, and proficiency in mammalian cell culture, cloning, qPCR, flow cytometry, Western blot and single-cell RNA-seq; CRISPR/base/prime-editing and NGS analysis (R/Python) experience preferred. Starting salary is $72,500/year plus benefits and relocation assistance.
