Newcastle University's School of Natural and Environmental Sciences is hiring a Research Assistant/Associate to work on "New High Performance Bioinks for 3D Extrusion Bioprinting" under Prof David Fulton. The role focuses on developing bioinks based on Capsular antigen fragment 1 (Caf1) protein polymers, optimizing both printability and biomimicry for 3D extrusion bioprinting applications.
Candidates should hold (or have submitted) a PhD or equivalent qualification with a background in materials or chemistry; experience with circular dichroism spectroscopy and synthetic polymer chemistry is advantageous. This is a fixed-term post running from October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027.
