About the role
The University of Oxford's Oxford Vaccine Group (Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine / Institute of Developmental and Regenerative Medicine) is recruiting a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Biology to lead a defined area of computational biology and bioinformatics research, developing original research questions and new computational/bioinformatic methodologies to analyze clinical and multi-omic datasets from vaccine and infection studies. The postholder will provide computational leadership within multidisciplinary research projects and supervise junior researchers.
Candidates must hold a PhD/DPhil in computational biology, bioinformatics, biological sciences, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline, with significant post-qualification research experience and proficiency in R and/or Python. Experience with controlled human infection or vaccination studies, or machine learning/AI approaches, is advantageous. This is a full-time, fixed-term post in Oxford, paying £49,119 to £58,265 per annum, with a discretionary range to £65,336.
