HCI Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Multimodal Interaction for Remote Physical Artefacts Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University – 2 years Expected start 1 February 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our project on Multimodal Interaction for Remote Physical Artefacts (MIRA), funded through an ERC Consolidator Grant. The project addresses an important challenge in Human-Computer Interaction research: how can we create a proxy for a remote physical object that does not replicate, but extends the experience of interacting with the object itself? Digital platforms do not convey the tactile, spatial and multisensory qualities that are integral to shared manipulation of tools, prototypes and materials. In the MIRA project, we will develop prototypes and environments that integrate visual, auditory and haptic stimuli for remote collaboration. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the project's central technical objective: the design, construction and evaluation of novel multisensory interaction techniques and systems. This is a full-time (37 hours/week) on-site role located at Åbogade 34, 8200 Aarhus N, Denmark. Tagged as: Life Sciences
