Aarhus University (AU Viborg campus) is recruiting a two-year postdoctoral researcher to study the animal welfare risks of feeding red seaweed to dairy cows as a methane-reduction strategy. The role involves behavioural research on dairy cattle, developing and validating welfare assessment measures for seaweed-based feed additives, publishing findings, contributing to student supervision, and advising policymakers and industry on alternatives to existing methane-reducing additives. Expected start date is 1 February 2027.
